Your family are met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. In the evening you meet your guides for a briefing about your safari. Attractions include the National Museum which is home to most of the great prehistoric finds made by the Leakey Family; from there you proceed to the Railway Museum, the National Archives, the Parliament, Kenyatta International Convention Center etc. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Panafric Hotel.

After breakfast we drive to Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Sanctuary. Here we admire the playful nature of these young elephants and experience a close encounter with giants of the African wilderness. Next we move on to the Giraffe Sanctuary to see the rare Rothschild’s Giraffe before proceeding for lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant. The afternoon is spent at leisure. Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving in time for lunch at Maiyan Resort. After lunch you undertake your first game drive in the Wildlife Sanctuary and visit the Rhino Sanctuary in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy where the highly endangered Black Rhino are kept. Visit the Chimpanzee sanctuary which is an ideal opportunity to learn more about these incredible animals. Return to the Hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. The Lodge has a special activity room for children equipped with games such as archery, darts and table tennis. Other activities for children include movies to ensure that your children have a memorable Kenya family holiday even as the adults enjoy themselves elsewhere. We travel morning after breakfast to Lake Naivasha. In the afternoon we enjoy tea at Joy Adamson’s famous Elsamere farm. Joy was a British naturalist and author of the international best seller “Born Free”. The farm house was bought in 1967 and is now a conservation center focusing on lake ecology and creating environmental awareness. In the morning we embark on a boat cruise of the lake for boating along the shimmering lake surface, searching for hippos and other rare creatures found in the lake. On this afternoon of your Kenya Family Safari you have an opportunity to enjoy a guided nature walk with your family. The lake is a swamp area of spectacular scenery with good opportunities for game viewing and bird watching. Experiencing the natural habitat by foot is probably one of the best ways to get close to nature and submerse yourself in this exciting nature reserve. Today you will head south-west to the next destination arriving in time for lunch at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, the Masai Mara arguably one of the finest game reserves in Africa. Set out for a late afternoon game drive in the park. This is a wonderful day to experience the Great Migration of the wildebeest crossing a river in the Masai Mara if it is in season.

The Mara is known for its rolling green plains and riverine woodlands. The jewel in Africa’s crown the Mara is host to the most spectacular array of wildlife. Lion are found in abundance throughout the park as well as elephant, giraffe, varieties of gazelle species, zebra, cheetah and leopard. A full day is spent exploring the park on both morning and afternoon game drives.
