Overview

What to Expect on 4 Days Tsavo Amboseli Lodge Safari Holidays

Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is located 240 kilometers southeast of Nairobi near the border to Tanzania on the northwestern foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. This park is best known for the excellent view of the Mountain. Amboseli National Park embodies five main wildlife habitats the open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps, and marshland.

4 Days Tsavo Amboseli Lodge Safari Holidays - Itinerary

Day 1Mombasa - Tsavo East

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning then be driven along the Mombasa – Nairobi road to Tsavo East National Park. You will enter the park via Bachuma Gate and embark on game viewing drive with chances of encountering elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, giraffe, antelopes, etc.

You will visit the famous Aruba Dam where lots of game animals and bird species can be found especially during the dry spell. Then, you will proceed to Voi Safari Lodge, check-in, and have your buffet lunch. After lunch and a short rest, you will venture out for an afternoon game drive through the vast Tsavo East National Park in search for more game animals before returning back to Voi Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2Tsavo East - Taita Hills' salt lick

You will wake up at around 05:30, have a cup of coffee, and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time, you will have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo. You will be driven back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 08:30 followed by the last game drive and depart to Taita Hills’ salt lick through the Mombasa – Nairobi road.

You will arrive early in the afternoon. Check-in at Taita Hills Lodge where you will have your lunch. After that, you will depart at around 14:30 to Salt Lick Lodge where you will have a chance to see animals at the waterhole. Later, you will proceed for another game drive at 16:00 until 18:30. Dinner and overnight will be at the Salt Lick Lodge.

Day 3Salt Lick - Amboseli

Early morning game drive before the main breakfast. After breakfast, you will drive to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. You will have a chance to do some game drive on your way to the lodge. At 16:00, you will go for another game drive until 18:30. Dinner and overnight will be at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp / Sentrim Amboseli Lodge.

Day 4Amboseli - Mombasa

After an early morning game drive, you will return to the lodge for breakfast. Later, you will check out with safari game drive en-route as you leave Amboseli National Park to join the Mombasa. You will arrive in Mombasa in the evening.
