5Days Kenya Birding Guided Safari Holidays tour in Kenya with a professional local bird guide takes you through the great Kenyan lakes and to the plains of Masai Mara Game Reserve. Kenya has one of the richest avifaunas in Africa with around 1090 bird species recorded. From the soda-encrusted, flamingo-filled Rift Valley lakes to alpine Mt. Kenya and the western lowland forests at Kakamega.

These habitats, combined with bird-rich savannas, Tsavo’s semi-deserts, Sokoke’s coastal forests, and of course, the parks that make it the world’s premier big mammal watching destination, make Kenya a perennial favorite in Africa. This is not surprising when you consider you will probably see more bird and mammal species than any other African tour.

Around 170 species of Kenya’s birds species are Palearctic migrants (11 species of them with a local breeding population too), mainly from Eastern Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Siberia. Another 60 species migrate regularly within the Afrotropics or from Madagascar. Some 335 species are found in forest; 230 species are entirely forest dependent.

We pride ourselves as the leading company in Kenya which offers regular scheduled birding safaris. There are over 1100 bird species of birds in Kenya found in various parts of the country ranging from fragment of tropical rain and montane forest, fresh water, semi-alkaline and alkaline lakes located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, semi-arid bushes and the sweeping savannas. All these habitats combined together provide you with the most memorable birding safari you have ever had. You can see an approximate of over 300 species for shorter birding tours and over 600 species for longer birding holidays
