Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy is 70,000-acre private ranch with magnificent views across the plains to the snowcapped peaks of Mount Kenya. This game sanctuary is the closest reserve to Mt. Kenya Safari Club home to all the big five game, and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp has a very popular waterhole that is floodlit by night, providing excellent and secluded rarely seen game viewing.

Lake Nakuru National Park on the other hand is dominated by a gentle undulating terrain with open bush and woodlands, typical of the dry rift valley vegetation. Lake Nakuru is known as an ornithological paradise by birdwatchers because the lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth which boasts anywhere between one and two million lesser and greater pink flamingos that feed on the abundant algae thriving in the lakes warm waters. The park has also been established for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is also home to Columbus monkeys, Leopards, Giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope.

Day 1Nairobi-Nanyuki - Sirimon Gate to Judmaier Camp

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive to Nanyuki arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, drive to Sirimon Park gate and trek for 3 – 4 hours to Old Moses Camp (Judmeier) through a beautiful forest with East African Pencil Cedar trees, Poducarpus trees and the giant Hygenia trees. From Judmeier camp you can see the summits of Batian and Nelion peaks.

Day 2Old Moses camp - Shiptons camp

This is about a 6 – 8 hour hike crossing Liki and Mackinders valleys, there is a great view of Tereri and Sendeo peaks. And also a great view of Nanyuki town and beautiful terrain. Shipton’s camp has also an excellent setting with the north faces of Nelion peak and Batian peak. 13kms

Day 3Shipton's camp to Point Lenana and then descend to Mintos Camp

This hike is about 4 and half hours hike through some of the most spectacular sceneries like Gorges valley the Halls Tarns and the Lake Elies at a far distance. Overnight at Mintos Campsite

Day 4 Mintos (Halls tarns camp) to Meru Mt.Kenya Lodge

This hike is anywhere between 4 – 6 hours. This area has spectacular views down into the Gorges valley with Lake Michaelson and Vivienne falls, and across on the other side you can see Ithanguni peak, Rotundu peaks and the Giant Flat – top Kilingo hill table. 18kms

Day 5Chogoria gate to Chogoria town

You will walk about 6 – 8 hours, on dirt roads through a thick bamboo forest and tropical forest. The forest is really beautiful with chances of seeing wildlife and Columbus monkeys. You will be transferred to chogoria with a 4×4 vehicle to catch your safari tour van to drive to sweet waters tented camp arriving late afternoon. Check in at the hotel to drop your bags and straight away go to the first game drive in this wild life sanctuary coming back to the camp at 6:30pm. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 6Chogoria gate- sweet waters tented camp

After breakfast, drive to sweet waters tented camp for the afternoon game game-viewing sessions tracking the rare, animal’s species which can only be seen north of the equator; these are: the reticulated giraffe, the gerenuk or giraffe-gazelle and Beisa Oryx

Day 7Sweet Waters Tented Camp - Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch an exciting game drive is planned in Lake Nakuru National Park. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching area. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. Day 8Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at Carnivore restaurant or Tamambo restaurant. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
