Our 22 Days Guided Tanzania Photographic Safari Holiday begins from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and travel to Selous Game Reserve with packed lunch en route. You will arrive in the late afternoon, if time allows you will do evening game drives as you take photographs of animals and different landscapes.

Selous Game Reserve is larger than Switzerland and Denmark, that reserves largest population of elephant in Tanzania as well as large number of buffalo, Hippo and Wild dog, others are Lion, Eland, bush buck, giraffe, impala, baboon, zebra, Crocodile, greater kudu and is the chance to see the rare Sable antelope. Located in the south of Tanzania, the Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest fauna reserves of the world and was named after Englishman Sir Frederick Selous, a famous big game hunter and early conservationist. The Selous was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to the diversity of its wildlife and undisturbed nature. Dinner and overnight at Selous Lodge

Enjoy an early pre breakfast game drive in Selous game Reserve as you watch the sun rise. Breakfast will be at 0845hrs in your lodge; there after proceed with game drives and photography the whole day.

The reserve has additional buffer zones and no permanent human habitation or permanent structures are permitted. All (human) entry and exit is carefully controlled by the Tanzanian Game Department. Some of the typical animals of the Savanna such as elephants, hippopotami, African Wild Dog, cape buffalo and crocodiles can be found in this park in larger numbers than in any other African game reserve or national park. The Selous is one of the last remaining pristine true wilderness areas in the world.

Enjoy an early pre breakfast game drive in the reserve and at 0845hrs back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from Selous and travel to Mikumi National Park with packed lunch and game viewing en route. You will arrive in the early afternoon followed by relaxation at leisure in your accommodation waiting for dinner and overnight.

Dinner and overnight at Rufiji Tented Lodge

Breakfast will be followed by both morning and afternoon game drives in the park a home to Elephant, Lion, Wild dog, Zebra, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizard and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park. You will be free to take photographs of wildlife and scenery the whole day. All meals and overnight at Rufiji Tented Lodge

After breakfast head to Ruaha National Park arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge

After breakfast, you will spend the whole day photographing wildlife, beautiful scenery as you enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in Ruaha National Park. Look out for Roan and Sable antelope Hippo, Crocodile, waterbuck, Reed buck and Buffalo venture to the river’s edge to drink, attracting the attention of Lion, Leopard, Hyena, Wild dog and jackal and many more antelopes include Dik dik. There are many birds in the park include Eurasia migrants that Comes to visit the park twice a year.

Ruaha is famous for its large population of Elephants. Presently about 10.000 are roaming the park. Ruaha National Park is also a true birdwatchers paradise. All meals and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge

After breakfast check out from the tented camp and catch your flight at 11:45 am to Katavi National Park, which arrives at 13:50pm. Upon arrival you will have the afternoon at leisure and relaxation at your hotel. Dinner and overnight at your choice of hotel in Katavi National Park

You will depart Dar to by air for Arusha arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport for transfer by road to Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge for lunch, dinner and an overnight stay. Please note that you are at leisure on this afternoon.

In the morning at 0830hrs pick up from Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge outside Arusha town and drive 30km with packed lunch to Arusha National park for game drives and photography. This park is a home to Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Black and white Columbus Monkey, Baboon and many birds include Turraco and flamingos. Enjoy picnic lunch then proceed with afternoon game drives before you drive back to Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge at 1630 hours for dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning depart from your hotel in Arusha and drive 120km to Tarangire National Park with packed picnic lunch en route. You will enjoy game drives in this park which is a home to Elephant, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Lion, Leopard, Python, Impala and many more. Over 450 species of birds have been observed.

Located along Arusha-Dodoma road, Tarangire National Park covers an area of 2600 km2. The park derived its name from Tarangire River which crosses the Park lengthwise, giving support to a large wildlife population. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Treetop Lodge

Soon after breakfast you will depart to Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunch box en route. You will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the park. You will have enough time to photograph and view Flora and Fauna i.e. Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more. Situated inside Lake Manyara National Park, the Lake Manyara is home to large numbers of flamingos, pelicans, storks and plentiful bird life; thus the park is regarded as the birding paradise of Tanzania. Enjoy early morning pre breakfast game drive in Lake Manyara then at 0700hrs drive to the Great Serengeti National Park with lunch and game drives en-route. Enjoy afternoon game drives within the park, which is a home to lion, leopard, Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild dog and Gazelles. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Migration Camp

After breakfast you will spend the full day enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in the park. In the afternoon continue with game viewing to the North East of the park this is LOBO area where the main path of the Serengeti Wildebeest migration has passed.

Serengeti National Park is interspersed with wooded hills, towering termite mounds, monumental rocky kopjes, and rivers lined with elegant acacia trees. It is Tanzania’s first and most famous park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Migration Camp

After breakfast, you will spend the day game viewing in Lobo area where you will have your hot lunch before you drive back to Seronera the center of Serengeti. Proceed with game viewing and photography around Seronera or the Eastern side of the park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Migration Camp

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Great Serengeti then return to the lodge at 0845hrs for breakfast. After breakfast you will then check out and proceed with game drives with packed picnic lunch en route. You will then drive back to Arusha for overnight at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Coffee Lodge

After breakfast, you will board a shared charter plane from Arusha to Katavi National Park. You will be picked up on arrival and be transferred to the lodge for hot lunch before you proceed for short game drives within the park.

Dinner and overnight at Katuma Bush Lodge

After breakfast you will depart for morning walking safaris then return to the lodge in time for hot lunch at the lodge. You will then enjoy afternoon game drives before returning to the lodge for meals and overnight at Katuma Bush Lodge.

After breakfast drive to the Airstrip with your picnic lunch and fly to Mahale arriving in the afternoon. You will be met on arrival and be transfer to the lodge by boat. After lunch, you will enjoy short Chimpanzee tracking adventure in the forest.

After breakfast, you will depart for Chimpanzee Tracking within the forest. You will then return for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, depart for a boating safari as you enjoy bird watching, photography and game viewing.

After breakfast, transfer by boat to Lake Tanganyika Hotel arriving in time for Lunch. After lunch, take a boat ride and depart for Gombe Stream National Park. The park is most famous as the location where Jane Goodall pioneered her behavioral research conducted on the chimpanzee populations. All meals and overnight at Gombe Forest Lodge

After breakfast at the lodge you will spend the rest of the day Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Flash photographs are not allowed while chimpanzee or gorilla tracking. You will then climb to Kakombe Water Falls, and if time allows you will also Climb Jane’s Peak.

After breakfast, back to Arusha then to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
